Texas-native wide receiver Tre Moore named the Huskies as one of the three final teams he's considering

The Washington Huskies football team is on pace to ink one of the best recruiting classes in the country for 2027, and it can get a big boost in the coming days in regards to that goal.

Several players from the Class of 2027 have had the Huskies as one of the final teams they're considering for their collegiate commitments. One of those players is one of the best offensive playmakers in Texas.

According to a post on "X" from On3 Sports/Rivals reporter Hayes Fawcett, four-star wide receiver Tre Moore has named Miami, Ohio State and Washington as the final three teams he's considering.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound wide receiver is ranked as the 160th-best overall player, 21st-best wide receiver and 22nd-best player from Texas in the class, per the 247Sports Composite.

Moore took a big jump in production from his sophomore year to his junior season. In his second high school season in 2024, he caught 38 passes for 562 yards and six touchdowns.

In his junior season, Moore reeled in 85 catches for 1,443 yards and 19 scores.

Moore's finalists have already beaten the odds, based on a popular prediction model.

According to Rivals.com's prediction model, the four teams with the highest odds to land Moore were, in order: Texas (26.4%), Texas A&M (17.6%), Oklahoma (10.4%) and Michigan (8.6%).

If Moore were to commit to Washington, he would be the highest-ranked recruit among the program's current crop of '27 commits.

The Huskies currently have 13 commitments from the '27 class: four-star defensive lineman Jon Ioane, four-star quarterback Blake Roskopf, four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney, three-star wide receiver Braylon Pope, three-star tight end Zach Albright, three-star cornerback/athlete Maurice Williams, three-star running back Jeremy Adeyanju, three-star interior offensive lineman Reis Russell, three-star defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei and three-star linebackers Isaiah Leilua, Ethan Coach, Justin Coach and Titus Osterman.

Washington was also named one of the final five teams being considered by versatile three-star defensive back Jeovanni Henley.

Currently, the Huskies have the 11th-ranked '27 recruiting class in the country, per 247Sports.

The 10 teams ranked ahead by Washington nationally, per the publication, are, in order: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, UCLA, Southern California (USC), Florida, Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon, Ohio State and Kentucky.

If those rankings hold, the Huskies would boast the sixth-best recruiting class in the 18-team Big Ten conference.

Early signing day for the '27 commits takes place in December of this year. National Signing Day will take place Feb. 3, 2027.
