The Washington Huskies football team made a major addition to their 2027 recruiting class on Tuesday when it earned a commitment from four-star defensive lineman, top in-state recruit and Seattle native Tevita Nonu.

Nonu's commitment gave the Huskies 15 commits from the Class of '27, two four-star defensive linemen (Nonu and Jon Ioane) and three defensive linemen overall (Nonu, Ioane and three-star Matamatagi Uiagalelei).

Even with the defensive line in a very good situation for Washington, it doesn't seem like the team is done adding to the trenches.

According to a post on his official Instagram account, three-star '27 edge rusher Chaz Gray will be taking an official visit with the Huskies from May 29-31.

UW inside linebackers coach Brian Odom previously made a visit to see Gray on May 9.

Gray attends St. Joseph Regional in Montvale, N.J. He's ranked as the 438th best overall player, 38th-best edge rusher and ninth-best player in New Jersey according to the 247Sports Composite.

The 6-foot-4, 250-pound edge had 40 total tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss and three sacks with St. Joseph Regional in his junior season last fall.

Despite being listed as a three-star, Gray has earned offers from a list of notable programs.

Gray has received offers from Tennessee, Clemson Nebraska, Duke, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Miami and Michigan State, among others.

Gray is currently "warm" on Washington, per his player page on 247Sports. Currently, Rivals.com's prediction model has Maryland, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Miami and Georgia Tech all with over a 10% chance to land him. The Huskies have a 1.7% chance to earn his commitment, per the website.

Gray also has official visits scheduled with Clemson on June 12 and Tennessee on June 19, respectively.

Washington is currently on pace to ink the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history. The record is currently 12th in the nation and is held by the group of '26 recruits.

The Huskies' '27 recruiting class currently ranks 11th in the country, per 247Sports.

The 10 teams ranked ahead of Washington are, in order: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Florida, UCLA, Southern California (USC), Penn State, Miami, Ohio State and Kentucky.
