The Huskies are looking to get a head start on the recruitment of several Washington-based players from the '28 class
Washington Huskies men's basketball head coach Danny Sprinkle has earned a reputation as a solid recruiter in his time as a head coach.
The Huskies were only able to land one player from the high school graduating Class of 2026, three-star wing Lattimore Ford. The rest of the roster set to hit the court next season is comprised of either returning players, transfer portal acquisitions or international recruits.
Despite landing just one player from the Class of '26, Washington is still looking to continue to recruit well for the classes of the future.
The Huskies are already involved in the recruitment for several notable prospects in the Class of 2027, including five-stars Jalen Davis and Malachi Jordan. The team also hosted four-star wing Howard Williams for an official visit earlier this week.
In addition to hosting Williams for an official visit, Washington also offered three Pacific Northwest-based players from the Class of 2028. Here's a breakdown of the trio of '28 graduates to receive offers from the Huskies:
Quentin Mosby, CG, unranked
Mosby, a 6-foot-2 combo guard that's unranked per the 247Sports composite, played 20 games for Lakeside High School in Seattle. He averaged 30.5 points across 20 games on 46% shooting in addition to 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game in his sophomore year last season.
Despite being unranked, Mosby has several offers from Division I programs, including Georgia Tech, Stanford and Weber State.
Davion Shareef-Dulaney, CG, three-star
The second Washington-based combo guard the Huskies have their eyes on is another player in the general Puget Sound region, albeit outside the city limits.
Shareef-Dulaney is a three-star combo guard from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash.
The 6-foot-3 guard is ranked as the 88th-best overall player, 16th-best combo guard and best player in Washington in the Class of '28 per the 247Sports composite.
Shareef-Dulaney took part in the Section 7 tournament in Mesa, Ariz., this past week, one of the few NCAA-certified high school showcases, and averaged 34 points, eight rebounds and 6.3 assists in three games.
Shareef-Dulaney has over 1,000 points in two seasons with Lincoln high School.
Shareef-Dulaney also has a series of Division I offers, including Utah, West Virginia, Boise State, Washington State and Cal State-Northridge, among others.
Austin Birley, CG, unranked
The third player Washington has offered this week plays for West Valley High School in Yakima, Wash., 6-foot-5 guard Austin Birley.
Birley also took part in the Section 7 tournament and showed an ability to finish at the rim and work in the pick-and-roll.
Birley, despite being unranked, has also earned several Division I offers, including Washington State and Saint Louis.
