The Washington Huskies football team could soon get a boost to the trenches in the form of a four-star offensive lineman. However, the Huskies will have to win the recruiting battle over several other Pacific Northwest institutions.

Washington is reportedly ramping up the recruitment for several four-star offensive linemen, and has multiple visits scheduled with one of them in the coming weeks.

In a recent story written by Brandon Huffman for Rivals.com, four-star interior offensive lineman Rashaun Lavata'i is scheduled to make his commitment decision "around early June," per comments made in Huffman's story.

Lavata'i has an in-home visit scheduled with the Huskies scheduled for May 22. He'll likely scheduled an official with Washington after that point, possibly for early June.

Lavata'i has an official visit scheduled with the Washington State Cougars on May 29, the Utah Utes on June 12 and Oregon State Beavers on June 18, leaving the week between the Washington State and Utah visit as an open week for him.

Lavata'i is the third-ranked prospect in Washington state according to the 247Sports Composite. The top two players in the composite, wide receiver Braylon Pope and defensive lineman Tevita Nonu, are both committed to the Huskies.

Lavata'i attends Curtis Senior High School in University Place, Wash. He's ranked as the 295th-best player in the country and 14th-best interior offensive lineman according to the 247Sports composite.

Currently, the Beavers and the Cougars have the highest odds to land Lavata'i according to the Rivals.com's prediction model. Oregon State has a 45.8% chance to earn a commitment, Washington State's odds at landing him are at 40% and Washington has a 2.2% chance to land him.

If the Huskies are able to make a final push and land Lavata'i, he would be the second interior offensive lineman commit of the '27 class. Washington landed a commitment from Reis Russell earlier in May, who chose UW over offers from other notable programs such as Georgia, Miami and Southern California (USC).

Washington also is one of the final teams being considered by four-star offensive lineman DaJohn Yarborough.

If the Huskies land Lavata'i and Yarborough, it would go a long way to giving Washington what's shaping out to be the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history.

UW's '27 recruiting class is currently ranked 11th in the country according to 247Sports. The Huskies' highest-ranked recruiting class in program history is the '26 class, which ranked 12th.

The 10 teams ranked ahead of Washington in the '27 recruiting class are, in order: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Miami, Florida, UCLA, USC, Penn State, Ohio State and Kentucky.
