The Washington Huskies football team has started to become a legitimate program to pay attention to on the recruiting trail.
In 2026, the Huskies inked the 12th-ranked recruiting class in the country according to the 247Sports Composite. That ranking was the highest in program history.
On the field, Washington improved by three wins from head coach Jedd Fisch's first season with the program in 2024 to 2025. UW went 6-7 in '24 and 9-4 in '25.
Off the field, the Huskies have continued to build off their successful '26 recruiting class with a '27 class that is on pace to have a similar standing as the former.
Washington landed two commitments on Thursday: three-star linebackers Justin and Ethan Coach. The two are twin brothers from St. John Bosco in Bellflower, Calif.
Both linebackers have 87-grades according to the 247Sports Composite. Justin Coach is graded as the 46th-best linebacker in the country and the 63rd-best player in California. Ethan Coach was ranked as the 44th-best linebacker in the country and the 61st-best player in California.
Justin Coach is listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds and Ethan Coach is listed at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds.
The Huskies beat out several notable programs who offered both brothers and also one or the other. Michigan, Arizona State, BYU, Arizona and UCLA offered each of the twins. Ethan Coach also earned offers from Texas, Arkansas, Ohio State and Kansas individually.
The Coach brothers mark the second and third defensive players to commit to Washington, all of whom are linebackers. The other linebacker/defensive player to commit to the Dawgs was the top overall player in Idaho in the class of '27, three-star Titus Osterman.
Currently, the Huskies have six "hard" commits in the class of '27: four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney, three-star wide receiver Braylon Pope, three-star athlete Maurice Williams, the Coach brothers and Osterman.
Washington's '27 recruiting class is currently graded 12th in the nation, according to 247Sports, exactly where the '26 class finished.
The 11 teams currently ahead of the Huskies in '27 recruiting according to the website are: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Nebraska, Syracuse, Texas, Virginia, Texas Tech and Louisville in that order. The teams ahead of UW all have varying amounts of commitments.
Washington's '27 recruiting class could earn an even higher ranking if it's successful in landing other players it is currently among the finalists four. The Dawgs are also reportedly one of the final teams being considered by Washington-based four-star quarterback Sione Kaho and Oregon-based cornerback Josiah Molden.
