    About Plum

Plum has been one of the faces of the WNBA for the better part of the last decade.

She was taken first overall in the 2017 WNBA Draft and played with the San Antonio Stars/Las Vegas Aces from 2017-24. She was traded to the Los Angeles Sparks ahead of the 2025 season. She will play for Phantom BC in the inaugural Unrivaled women's basketball season in 2026.

In her WNBA career, Plum has been named an All-Star in four consecutive seasons (2022-25) and won the WNBA championship with the Aces from '22-23.

Plum played with Washington from 2013-17. In her senior year, she became the Pac-12's all-time leading scorer (man or woman) and was a unanimous Associated Press first-team All-American. Her number 10 was retired by the Huskies on Jan. 28, 2025. She has the second-most points in NCAA women's basketball history, behind only Caitlin Clark (Iowa).

Plum helped lead Washington to a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the 2017 NCAA Tournament and to the Final Four in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

    About her chances

Things can always change, but Plum is as close to a lock to the national team as there is.

Plum has a stellar international career dating back to before her collegiate career.

Plum competed on the FIBA U19 World Cup team in 2013. She helped lead the U.S. to a gold medal in that event.

Plum also won a silver medal in the 2015 Pan American Games. She won a gold medal for Team USA in the 2018 and 2022 World Cup and the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games. She also competed in the 3x3 basketball games in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympic Games, where she also won a gold medal.

In total, Plum has five gold medals and a silver medal.

    Washington's history at the Olympics

-- Laure Savasta (France), 2000 (fifth)

    -- Plum, 2020 (3x3 -- gold); 2024 (gold)
