The 49ers showed that they belong in the conversation

The San Francisco 49ers have heard nothing but praise for their division rivals this offseason. But Brock Purdy and the Niners made a statement with the demolition of the Rams. 

The Rams came into the season as the heavy Super Bowl favorites, while the 49ers had a tumultuous preseason filled with injury concerns. While one week doesn’t dictate the entire season, fans should feel a sense of redemption. Could they be a contender? We shall see. But they showed for one game that they are just as dangerous as anyone.
