Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was injured during Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Here is everything you need to know about the injury to the Bears' signal caller.

CHICAGO -- Soldier Field went completely quiet after quarterback Caleb Williams went down midway through the fourth quarter. Williams ran to his left and fell to the grass on his own, sliding down on the slippery field.

He rolled on the ground in pain and was helped up by the Bears' training staff. He went into the blue medical tent while backup Tyson Bagent was on the field for the Bears' offense. Eventually, Williams came out of the blue medical tent but he was placed on a cart. He went back to the locker room with a towel over his head and before entering the dark tunnel, he gave a thumbs up to the home crowd.

Bears kicker Cairo Santos' potential game-tying 23-yard field goal was blocked. The Vikings went on to defeat the Bears, 9-3, dropping the Bears to 1-1 on the season.

Bears head coach Ben Johnson said Williams was in "good spirits," but he said the team will know the severity of the injury on Monday. Johnson was relieved that the injury didn't involve his knee, but he mentioned the hamstring "can be pretty damaging as well." Johnson said the team will "see how bad it is tomorrow and we'll go from there."

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Williams is schedule to undergo imaging on his injured hamstring Monday.

The game result falls short with Williams' health status up in the air. Williams has never missed a game in his NFL career, making 35 straight starts up until Sunday's game against the Vikings.

The Bears officially ruled Williams out with a hamstring injury. Bagent will be the Bears' starting quarterback moving forward until Williams can return. Case Keenum will serve as the backup.

On Bagent's first full drive after the Vikings kicked their third field goal of the game, he completed four of his eight passes before being sacked on the final play.

Before Williams left the game with his right hamstring injury, defensive coordinator Brian Flores' defense made it difficult for the third-year quarterback to find completions all game. Williams finished 15 of 26 for 138 yards and an interception. He was sacked three times, and ran for 42 yards on five carries.

Throughout the entire game the Bears dug themselves in holes because of penalties. The Bears committed eight penalties for 58 yards and turned the ball over twice. Williams was intercepted on the team's second offensive possession of the game, and veteran running back D'Andre Swift fumbled on the 1-yard line to start the second half.

The Bears will host the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football at Soldier Field in Week 3.
