Here are the five Bears players to watch during Saturday's preseason game against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
The Chicago Bears' 2026 preseason officially comes to a close on Saturday against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.
This game represents one final opportunity for many of the players on the outside looking to land a spot on the 53-man roster. It's also one last chance to go up against an NFL opponent before the start of the regular season.
Here are the five Bears players I'll be watching closely in Saturday's game against the Titans.
Malik Muhammad
Thursday's joint practice against the Titans was an up-and-down day for the rookie defensive back. Because of injuries to starting corners Jaylon Johnson and Tyrique Stevenson, Muhammad rotated from nickel and boundary corner.
He made a nice pass breakup on No. 4 overall pick wide receiver Carnell Tate in the back left corner of the end zone.
He also gave up a touchdown to Tate in nearly the exact same spot in the practice, but Muhammad played from the slot on this snap.
I'm curious to see if the Bears give him more opportunities on the outside. That's the rookie's natural position, but with Kyler Gordon still on the PUP list, it makes sense to give Muhammad as many reps in slot before the regular season.
Kiran Amegadjie
The Bears' former third-round draft pick may not have much time left on this Bears roster with cutdowns approaching on Sunday. Amegadjie did get reps at left tackle with the second-team offense against the Titans in the joint practice.
Just because Amegadjie was drafted on Day 2 of the draft in 2024 doesn't guarantee he's a lock to make this 53-man roster. He needs a solid performance on Saturday to make this team.
Salvon Ahmed
The battle for the third running back spot on the roster is coming down to this final preseason game. Ahmed and Roschon Johnson have each had their moments, making plays as ball carriers.
It's not just what either one does on offense that may sway the coaching staff, but what each player does on special teams that may ultimately win the job.
Running backs coach Eric Studesville has familiarity with Ahmed when the two were in Miami, while head coach Ben Johnson has a season with Roschon Johnson.
There is easily a scenario that whoever doesn't make the 53-man roster ends up on the practice squad. Still, this is a battle to keep your eyes on throughout Saturday's game.
Kaden Davis
The Bears' wide receiver has been one of the more consistent players throughout camp. He's made explosive plays with the starters and the backups.
Davis, 27, has four catches for 88 yards -- with all of them coming in the preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. He has bring special teams experience as a kick and punt returner.
Jahdae Walker made the team last year as the sixth receiver. He played in nine games and caught six passes for 87 and two touchdowns. He also contributed on special teams. That could be the blueprint for Davis if he makes the team.
Terell Smith
The former fifth-round draft pick in 2023 hasn't been on the field much lately because of injuries, but he did participate in Thursday's joint practice against the Titans.
Like Muhammad, he had his ups and downs in the practice, giving up a touchdown to Tate early in the in the day. He did have a good pass breakup after he dove on a separate rep.
Head coach Ben Johnson is big on talking about players who are available and participate in practice. That hasn't been the case for Smith, so this final preseason game could determine if he ends up claiming a spot over corner Dante Manning.
