Fresh off a dominant win over New York, Chicago shifts focus to Lambeau Field as a quarterback change adds new drama to the NFL’s most storied rivalry.

It didn't take the Chicago Bears very long to start looking ahead to the Green Bay Packers after Sunday's game.

The Bears beat the New York Jets 23-12 in Week 4. The Bears dominated the Jets, with over 42 minutes of possession compared to 17.

The Jets had the ball for 45 seconds in the fourth quarter, and that says it all. Linebacker Devin Bush said he actually got bored on the sidelines watching the offense hold the ball for so long.

The Bears got the better of the Packers last year. They tied the season series and then beat them in the Wild Card game to eliminate them from the postseason.

There aren't any rivalries in the NFL that carry the same level of hatred as the Bears-Packers rivalry.

It was already on Ben Johnson's mind during his locker-room speech after the win over the Jets.

"You guys know what next week is?" Johnson said. "You guys know what next week is? Alright, enough said. Bring it in."

The Bears and Packers had some epic battles last season. All three meetings were decided by seven points or fewer.

The Packers won the first game of 2025, 28-21. Caleb Williams got the offense into position to tie the game and force overtime, but he threw an interception in the Packers' red zone.

The Bears got revenge just two weeks later. They were down 16-6 late in the game, and a field goal from Cairo Santos set the stage.

The Bears recovered an onside kick, sending the game to overtime with a touchdown pass to Jahdae Walker.

Chicago won thanks to a touchdown pass from Williams to D.J. Moore.

Then, the Bears had another improbable fourth-quarter comeback in the playoffs to send the Packers home. Chicago was down 21-6 and went on to win 31-27.

Sunday's game will be different from last year's. Williams will be out another week with a hamstring injury. It looks like Tyson Bagent will start under center for the Bears.

Bagent was the Bears' starting quarterback for four games in 2023 but never played against the Packers. Sunday will be the first time he'll get to have a say in the rivalry.

Green Bay is struggling at 2-2, but if this rivalry has shown us one thing, it's that records don't matter.

The game will be close, as it always is. It'll be another exciting chapter in the rivalry on Sunday, even without Williams in the lineup.

The Bears and Packers kick off from Lambeau Field at noon CT on Fox.
