With Josh Jacobs sidelined, Green Bay’s league-worst ground game presents a golden opportunity for Chicago’s stout defense to stifle Jordan Love and disrupt the historic Lambeau rivalry.

The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers renew their rivalry on Sunday.

The first game in the rivalry will be at Lambeau Field in Week 5. The Packers will obviously be playing Tyson Bagent differently than they would play Caleb Williams.

Bagent is mobile, but not quite as fast as Williams. Williams will be out for another week as he recovers from his hamstring injury.

The quarterback is listed as week-to-week.

Micah Parsons won't be at Packers practice this week. It could be November by the time he's back on the field.

The change at quarterback will affect the Packers' game plan. For the Bears, the Packers have a weakness they can exploit.

ESPN's Matt Bowen recently appeared on "104.3 The Score" and discussed how the Packers have little to no running game. He believed the Bears could take full advantage of that.

"I think the first thing we talked about is, Ben Johnson, what's the core of his offense?" Bowen said. "I think everyone would agree it's the run game. The run game is a foundational aspect of what the Bears do offensively. Then, to Green Bay, what's it always been under Matt LaFleur? Right now, they do not have a difference-maker in the backfield. They don't. They just don't. They brought in Kaleb Johnson, a former Hawkeye. He was with Pittsburgh. Trying to get something going, but right now they don't have it in the backfield.

The Packers have been without Josh Jacobs the entire season due to his off-field issues.

The current backfield of the Packers contains Marshawn Lloyd, Kaleb Johnson and Chris Brooks.

Lloyd leads the team with 81 rushing yards this season. The Packers don't have a running back with more than 100 rushing yards.

It's no wonder Green Bay currently averages the fewest yards per game on the ground this year, at 58. The Bears' run defense has been dependable so far.

Chicago ranks 13th in rushing yards allowed per game (102.5). With how bad Green Bay is at running the ball, it may not matter.

If the Bears can make the Packers one-dimensional, it will allow them to get after Jordan Love and make it harder for the Packers when they drop back to pass.

The Packers torched the Bears' secondary last year. Christian Watson had 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns in Week 14. Then Romeo Doubs had a big day just two weeks later.

One thing that the Packers had going for them last year was Jacobs. When he's on the field, he is very hard to bring down. The Bears had a hard time containing him last year, and that definitely helped the Packers in the passing game.

After struggling to sack opposing quarterbacks in 2025, the Bears have turned things around so far this year. Chicago is currently eighth in the NFL with 10 sacks.

Without a running game to make things easier for Love and the Packers' passing attack, the Bears could really put pressure on him.

This is the kind of weakness that the Bears need to attack on Sunday. This rivalry game was very close last year.

The Bears could expose this and crack the game wide open.

Chicago needs to make getting after Love a priority. Kickoff is at noon CT on Fox.
