Here are three of the biggest X-Factors for the Buffalo Bills to win this week against the Rams.
After dropping a tough game to the New England Patriots last week, the Buffalo Bills' next opponent doesn't get any easier.
Buffalo will be heading out on the road to face off versus the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, putting two of the NFL's top teams against one another. Both the Bills and Rams were seen as Super Bowl favorites entering the season, giving fans a potential preview of the big game.
The Bills are 3-1 on the season, while the Rams come into this game sitting at 2-2. This contest could give either side a statement win early on in the year.
Here are three of the biggest X-Factors for the Bills if they want to defeat the Rams this week:
1. Feed James Cook
Buffalo dos have star quarterback Josh Allen under center, but this team thrives when they can play complementary football. Allen can't do it all by himself, and he will need help to tak down the Rams in this game.
Making sure that star running back James Cook gets enough touches could ensure that the Buffalo offense is running smoothly in this contest. Cook has been one of the more productive running backs since he entered the NFL, and he's off to an excellent start for the Bills this year.
2. Limit Damage From Puka Nacua
This may be much easier said than done, but Puka Nacua is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL for a reason. Nacua gives the Rams a massive edge coming into this game, and the Buffalo defenders are going to be in for a real challenge against him.
In his return from injury last week, Nacua lit up the Philadelphia Eagles for nine catches for 125 yards, showing what he can do for this team. The Bills secondary will need to account for Nacua at all times, forcing other players to beat them in this game.
3. Limit the Turnovers
While the Bills do sit at 3-1 on the season, the last two weeks have been fairly sloppy for Buffalo, especially when it comes to turning the ball over. Buffalo had multiple turnovers in their win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, and it almost cost them the game.
Against New England, the same thing happened, and it saw the Bills lose a game for the first time this season. So, going up against the Rams, Buffalo will need to play a clean game, avoiding this habit of beating themselves out on the field.
