Here are three of the biggest X-Factors for the Bills to get a win against the Raiders this week.
The Buffalo Bills are 4-1 on the 2026 NFL season entering into Week 6.
Buffalo was able to take down the Los Angeles Rams this past week, grabbing a massive victory to build on. The Bills will now be taking on the Las Vegas Raiders on the road, giving the team another tough game.
Las Vegas owns a record of 3-2 on the season, but they are coming off two straight losses. The Raiders will be trying to bounce back this week, and the Bills will have to make sure that they execute the game plan to avoid that from happening.
Here are three of the biggest X-Factors for the Bills to take down the Raiders this week:
1. Pressure Kirk Cousins
This seems like one of the easiest parts of the game, but it has been proven that Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins is a very different player when he gets a lot of pressure in his face. Cousins has done well this year for Las Vegas, getting the Raiders passing attack to be very strong.
But for the Bills, the defense has been shaky this season, and it could be a real problem against the Raiders. Buffalo is going to have to get after Cousins, making him uncomfortable from the get go to win this game.
2. Josh Allen Plays Clean Football
Bills star Josh Allen is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, but sometimes, he can be very turnover-prone. Allen makes some bad mistakes at times, and it has hurt this team over the years.
The veteran has tried to clean up his game this season, and against the Raiders, Buffalo is going to need him to put together a vintage game. Las Vegas has a good offensive attack, and the Bills may need to match it throughout the entire contest.
3. James Cook Doesn't Turn the Ball Over
After fumbling twice against the Rams last week, Cook was put on notice by his head coach, with Joe Brady threatening to take carries away from the star. Cook is one of the bigger forces on the offense for the Bills, but his turnovers have been very costly, with them almost seeing Buffalo lose last week.
But if Cook can put together a solid effort against the Raiders, it could quiet all the noise around him, at least for the week. Cook has put together a very good start to the season, rushing for 532 yards and five scores on the ground, while catching seven passes for 31 yards through the air.
