Buffalo's bold gray uniform and blue helmets sparked instant debate, with critics comparing the look to department store finds while others mourned the missed 90s throwback.

The Buffalo Bills unveiled their new "Nickel City" uniforms on Monday, featuring a gray base and a new blue helmet. There had been leaks leading up to the reveal, but the first official look came when the team dropped a video and photo gallery on Monday morning.

And to say the response has been divisive would be an understatement.

You have some fans lamenting the fact that all fans wanted were the red helmets with a 90s throwback while others were simply put off by the amount of gray in the jersey and pants. That said, there were some fans and other media members that like them.

If you're looking for my thoughts, well, they look like something you'd find on the rack at a TJ Maxx or Marshall's department store. As for the helmet, if the stripe were thinner, I may like it more, but it feels like they put part of the Chevron gas station logo on there.

Check out some of the other reactions to the "Nickel City" uniform below.

It Doesn't Matter What We Think

Obviously, everyone has their opinion on the new uniform set. They are a new variant of the color rush jerseys, meaning the red jerseys fans have come to expect each year are being retired, at least for now. These will now be worn twice this season.

And, in all honesty, what we think about them doesn't matter. They will still sell well with fans, and you'll see plenty of them in the stadium on gameday and while you're out and about in the area. They were released to sell more Bills merch for a team that's had the same primary uniforms for over a decade.

That said, if you're worried about the red helmet that returned last season in Week 18, the team is at least still planning to wear those again this year. It's just unclear how many games they'll make an apearance in 2026.
