The 2026 season has been a good start for the Buffalo Bills and head coach Joe Brady.

The Buffalo Bills made the tough decision to part ways with longtime head coach Sean McDermott this offseason after another year of falling short.

Buffalo promoted Joe Brady to take over as the head coach, giving this team a fresh voice for the 2026 season. There was a lot of promise around the promotion of Brady, with quarterback Josh Allen excited to see what he could do.

And so far, it has been a solid start for Brady as the Bills' head coach, leading the team to a 3-1 record through his first four games. Brady has helped give this Buffalo team a breath of fresh air, but whether that can stick for the remainder of the season remains to be seen.

NFL analyst Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report graded the performance of every new head coach in the NFL so far this season. For Brady, he was given a letter grade of "B" for his performance through the first four weeks.

Allen is among the top quarterbacks in the NFL, but he has bene turnover prone at times during his career. Brady has been trying to work with the veteran quarterback on relaxing during games, and not trying to do too much.

There is still work to do for the Bills, but the early returns for Brady have been overly positive so far. Buffalo remains one of the top teams in the AFC, but this group won't be fully judged until the playoffs roll around.

The Bills have consistently been a top team, but they have fallen short year after year in the playoffs. However, with Brady in charge now, Buffalo is hoping that he could be the missing piece for them down the line.
