Most of this has to do with whether the team can get over the hump to finally reach the Super Bowl. After years of flailing short, Buffalo decided to make some big changes this offseason, bringing in some new blood to help spark the organization.
Brady was just the start, with the front office grabbing some more firepower on both sides of the ball. But the big move for Buffalo was acquiring wide receiver D.J. Moore from the Chicago Bears.
After landing Moore over the offseason, the Bills now have a true go-to guy for quarterback Josh Allen. But after Moore, the depth chart, it looks a little thin.
Yes, Buffalo has Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and others. But Coleman has been subject to trade talks all offseason, and he's put together multiple underwhelming years with the team so far.
The Bills may want to decide to bolster the depth of the wide receiver room, giving Allen more options to work with. And if they go down this route, there are a few interesting options available.
One of them is former third-round draft pick Tre Tucker of the Las Vegas Raiders. Tucker has been very good since entering the NFL, giving strong production to the Las Vegas offense.
But NFL analyst Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report believes that Tucker could be a good option for the Bills to consider. Tucker would provide more speed on the outside to the Bills' offense, allowing more space for others downfield.
Last season, Tucker caught 56 passes for 696 yards and five scores. Adding his level of production to the offense could completely open everything up for the Bills, and it would make Allen's life much easier.
Tucker would help take the top off the defense, giving guys like Moore and Shakir more space. Much like how Rashid Shaheed did for the Seattle Seahawks last season after the trade deadline, Tucker could be the missing piece for Buffalo.
It may cost the Bills a lot to get Las Vegas to part with Tucker, but it could be more than worth it. Tucker will be a free agent at the conclusion of the 2026 season, so Buffalo wouldn't be tied to long-term money if it doesn't work out.
But a move like this could raise the ceiling of the Bills, especially in a make-or-break season coming up.
