The Buffalo Bills could look to add some help on defense.

The Buffalo Bills are currently on their bye week, sitting with a record of 5-1 for the new season.

Buffalo has been one of the better teams in the NFL this season, looking like a Super Bowl contender once again. The Bills are led by an explosive offensive attack, giving this team a chance to win each week.

Star quarterback Josh Allen has looked the part as the leader of this team, with him playing like a possible MVP candidate. Allen's performance this season has allowed the Bills to work through any growing pains under new head coach Joe Brady, giving this unit a chance to gel together.

But while the offense has been electric so far, the defense remains one of the bigger problems for the team. The Bills' defense has been a work in progress, with opposing offenses doing pretty much whatever they want on the field.

This could end up holding this team back down the line, and it's something that the front office may need to address. With the NFL trade deadline approaching in a few weeks, Buffalo could elect to make some additions to bolster the unit.

NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report listed one player who could help the Bills' defense overcome some issues. This would be veteran cornerback Riq Woolen of the Philadelphia Eagles, who has been in trade rumors of late.

With the Eagles reeling, Woolen could be on the move, and the Bills may be one of the better landing spots. Woolen just helped the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl a year ago, and he could be a big boost to the Buffalo secondary.

In six games with the Eagles, Woolen has recorded 24 total tackles, four pass deflections, and one forced fumble. The Bills could use the extra help in the secondary, and Woolen may be one of the better options to consider.

Woolen is on a one-year deal with Philadelphia, so the Bills wouldn't be taking on any long-term money in a potential trade. But his presence could help get this defense going a little, adding some extra firepower.

For the Bills to reach the goal of winning a Super Bowl title this season, the front office may need to add some extra depth on the defense. Woolen could be a solid addition, and it seems like he could be available with the Eagles struggling this year.
