Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid opens up about returning to Las Vegas in Week 6 and why the game means so much to him.
When you ask NFL coaches and players about upcoming games, they will almost always give you the same answer. You’ll hear things like “every game is important” or “it’s just one game at a time”. But just because each game is important to the team, it doesn’t mean there aren’t some that are more special than others.
For Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid, that game comes in Week 6.
That week, Buffalo travels to Las Vegas for a matchup with the Raiders and 2026 first overall pick Fernando Mendoza. But it’s not just about the matchup; it’s the location.
Kincaid was born in Las Vegas in 1999 and didn’t have a local team growing up. However, once the Raiders moved to the city from Oakland in 2020, that changed. Now, as the 2023 first-round pick enters his fourth season, he has a chance to do something he never believed he’d get to do.
Speaking during OTAs, Kincaid talked about getting the chance to play in front of family and friends in Las Vegas.
“It's actually on my birthday, too, which is pretty cool,” he said. “Families are already excited. Grandparents are there, a bunch of families in Vegas, so it'll be a cool experience.”
Kincaid is entering a season where he hopes to play in all 17 games. In three years, Kincaid has yet to play a full season. In 2025, he played just 12 regular-season games and dealt with a torn PCL all year long.
This year, he says he’s never felt better. However, the real test will come once the grind of the regular season begins, and he’s taking multiple hits per game starting in September.
The Bills have made plenty of changes to the roster heading into the 2026 season, but it they plan to make it to the Super Bowl, Kincaid is going to need to be a big part of that
