After bypassing surgery to rehab a torn PCL, the Bills tight end enters his fourth season feeling physically transformed and mentally liberated from the injuries that hindered him.

Dalton Kincaid says he’s never felt better physically. The 26-year-old is coming off a year where he played through several ailments, including a torn PCL. But after an offseason of proper rehabilitation, the Buffalo Bills tight end says that his body “feels significantly better than this time last year.”

Speaking with the media on Tuesday, Kincaid spoke about where he stands heading into his fourth season in Buffalo.

He spent the early part of the offseason working on his lower-body strength and implementing movement improvements. In addition, Kincaid consulted with numerous doctors about how to move forward with his knee rehabilitation. Surgery was always a possibility for an injury that he suffered in 2024, and played all of 2025 with. But it never got to that point.

“After the season ended, I talked to a lot of doctors who know a lot more than I do regarding the PCL and everything that has to do with health,” Kincaid said. “They advised against [surgery], so I believe them.”

Kincaid added that he got multiple opinions from various doctors, including other team doctors from around the league. All of them advised against surgery and believed that proper rehab would help him heal. However, had the opinion gone the other way, he would’ve still listened.

Now that the training has been ongoing and Kincaid has, hopefully, moved forward from what’s been bothersome, there’s a belief that the best is yet to come.

“It gives me a lot of confidence knowing that there's still plenty of months until the season and preseason, so being able to build upon that, it gives me some more confidence,” he said.

It’s not just the physical confidence for Kincaid, either. With the offseason going the way it has and him being hable to move and play like he expects, Kincaid said that his mental health has taken a turn for the better as well.

“I'd say it's probably the best I've felt in my career at this point in the year,” he said of his mentality going into this season. “Just not having those thoughts of the knee, especially last year, and at this point, I feel really good not even thinking about it out there.”
