Brandon Beane addressed speculation about a potential reunion with Von Miller after the former Bills pass rusher fueled discussion on social media.
The Buffalo Bills aren't closing the door on a potential reunion with Von Miller, but general manager Brandon Beane made it clear that nothing is currently in the works.
Beane was asked Thursday about recent social media speculation surrounding Miller and whether the veteran pass rusher could find his way back to Buffalo. While Beane acknowledged he remains close with Miller, he stopped well short of suggesting a deal is on the horizon.
"I talk to Von all the time. We're buds," Beane said. "But, yeah, I mean, listen, I love Von."
Although Beane didn't dismiss the possibility outright, he emphasized there are no active discussions at this point.
"You could name ten other ex-Bills that if everything lined up right, you wouldn't say no to a guy like that," Beane said. "But beyond that, there's nothing imminent or nothing going."
Miller spent three seasons with the Bills after signing with the team as a free agent in 2022. Injuries limited his impact during parts of his tenure, but he remained an important veteran presence in the locker room before departing this offseason.
In his three seasons with Buffalo, he played 36 of a possible 51 games. In those games, he recorded 41 total tackles, 14 sacks, and 17 tackles for loss.
Last season with Washington, Miller played in all 17 games and recorded nine sacks. Those nine sacks were more than anyone on the Bills' roster, as the team was led by Gregory Rousseau with seven.
His recent activity on social media and past comments prompted speculation among Bills fans that a reunion could be possible, leading to Thursday's question for Beane.
For now, however, Buffalo appears focused on the roster it has in place. The team has reshaped its defense with the signing of Bradley Chubb and the drafting of TJ Parker to go with Rousseau and Michael Hoecht on the edge.
And though Beane's comments leave the door cracked open if circumstances were to change, such as injuries or underperformance from those on the roster, he seemingly made it clear that there are no immediate plans to bring the veteran edge rusher back.
