Brandon Beane says the Bills have “hit reset” on Keon Coleman and expect a breakout 2026 season after shutting down trade interest.

The Buffalo Bills aren’t wavering when it comes to Keon Coleman.

Despite outside speculation and reported interest earlier in the offseason, general manager Brandon Beane has continued to make it clear the team remains committed to the young wide receiver, and believes his best football is still ahead.

“We’ve hit the reset button with him,” Beane said during an appearance on The Jeremy and Joe Show on WGR 550-AM in Buffalo. “Hopefully the fan base and everyone’s behind him. I think his best years are yet to come here in 2026.”

Beane confirmed the Bills did receive inquiries about Coleman earlier in the offseason, including around the NFL Scouting Combine and league meetings. But those conversations never gained traction.

“We shut those down,” Beane said. “Our intention is for Keon to be here.”

That stance reinforces Buffalo’s belief in Coleman’s long-term upside, even as the team continues to reshape its wide receiver room. The Bills added competition this offseason and through the draft, but none of those moves appear to signal a lack of confidence in Coleman.

Instead, the message is one of development and opportunity.

Beane noted that Coleman has approached the offseason with a renewed focus, something the organization is encouraged by as the team prepares for the 2026 campaign.

“I think Keon's really been dialed in this offseason,” Beane said. “Excited what he’ll bring.”

Coleman is coming off a season in which he had 38 catches for 404 yards and four touchdowns. He also found himself a healthy scratch at times due to what the team labeled as "maturity issues". Then, of course, there was that awkward moment during the team's yet end press conference where owner Terry Pegula suggested that the whole organization wasn't on board with the Coleman draft pick.

That was quickly walked back by Beane and head coach Joe Brady, but speculation remained that he would be dealt. That didn't end up being the case, but now, heading into his third year in the league, Coleman could be running out of chances to not only stick with the Bills, but stick in the league at all.

For a Bills offense looking to maintain consistency around its core playmakers, Coleman’s progression will be a key factor for a team with Super Bowl aspirations.

While he may not be handed anything outright, the opportunity is clearly there. And from the front office’s perspective, the expectation is simple: take the next step.
