Before ever taking a snap in Buffalo, the newly acquired wideout ignited the local community by purchasing every jersey shirt in stock to gift unsuspecting fans at the mall.
He hasn't even taken a snap for the Buffalo Bills, but new wide receiver DJ Moore is already winning over members of the Bills Mafia.
Last week, Moore was at the local Walden Galleria mall in suburban Buffalo. While there, he stopped at a sports apparel store that was selling jersey shirts of the Bills' number one receiver.
Moore then proceeded to purchase every No. 2 jersey shirt available and told the store to give them away to fans who came into the store.
"Last week DJ Moore came into my store and paid for all of the shirts that we had in stock and told us to give them to the fans," Tee Shirt University posted on Twitter. "People have been very appreciative, giving my cashiers hugs at the register. Thank you DJ for your generosity!"
The shirts that were given away even had a tag that read, "This shirt was paid for by DJ Moore."
Moore joined Buffalo this spring after the team traded for him from the Chicago Bears. Though he's coming off the lowest statistical season of his career, the Bills are hoping he can be the team's answer at the wide receiver position.
Moore spent his first five seasons in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers. During that time, he was coached by Bills head coach Joe Brady for two years. In those years, Moore put up over 1,100 yards each season.
In 2021, with Brady as offensive coordinator, Moore had a career-high 93 catches. If things go well for Moore and the Bills this year, there's reason to believe the ninth-year receiver could surpass that total with Josh Allen as his quarterback.
