Former Bills star Von Miller says the addition of Bradley Chubb will bring “fireworks” to Buffalo’s pass rush alongside Greg Rousseau.

With the Buffalo Bills needing help getting to the quarterback, they went out this offseason and signed former Pro Bowl edge rusher Bradley Chubb.

Coming to Buffalo on a three-year contract worth up to $52.5 million, Chubb comes with goals to not only get to the quarterback, but help a subpar run defense as well.

The move has generally been well-received by Bills fans, though some members of the media have questioned whether the move was more out of desperation after not landing Maxx Crosby or Trey Hendrickson. However, one former Bills star views the signing as something special that will create "fireworks".

Speaking on his Free Range podcast, former Buffalo edge rusher Von Miller spoke about Chubb's signing and how he thinks it'll go in Buffalo.

"Bradley Chubb with Greg Rousseau, it's gonna be fireworks," Miller said. "Greg Rousseau is primarily a left defensive end; Bradley Chubb is primarily a right defensive end. Kind of how me and Bradley Chubb were with the Denver Broncos."

Miller then went on to talk about the belief that bringing in Chubb alongside wide receiver DJ Moore could be viewed as "desperate" moves by general manager Brandon Beane.

"You can only get players out of a certain pool," he said. "I can't create a player and sign him to my team. What is available in the NFL, that's all I can go off of.

"I think Brandon Beane did that. I think Brandon Beane made the best out of this free agency cycle with the players that were available."

Miller also added that he has nothing bad to say about his time in Buffalo. He said that two days before the news broke, Chubb called him and told him he was planning on signing with the team.

Miller told the soon-to-be 30-year-old that he has connections for whatever Chubb might need while he's a member of the team.

Chubb comes to the Bills off an 8.5-sack season where he also forced two fumbles. In seven seasons—he missed all of 2024 with a torn ACL—Chubb has 303 tackles, 48 sacks, and 15 forced fumbles.
