The Buffalo Bills are 3-0 for the third straight season, and things, for the most part, are looking good in Western New York.
The team has shown they can win in stadiums they haven't had success in, take care of business under the lights at home, and come back to win games where they lose the turnover battle by a wide margin.
Welcome to Bills Roundtable Podcast Episode 50 here on Roundtable Sports with hosts Mike Straw and Anthony Moeglin.
It's approaching a big milestone for this show, and Josh Allen continues to hit milestones of his own. With his two touchdowns against the Chargers, Allen has six rushing touchdowns in nine straight years. He's just the fourth player in NFL history to reach that feat, and the first quarterback.
Also playing at the top of his game, Greg Rousseau continues his torrid pace to start the season. The Bills star pass rusher now has six sacks this year and is on pace for 34. While he's not likely to hit that mark, he is just two sacks away from tying his career high just three games into 2026.
On the flip side, top cornerback Christian Benford has been anything but. The team's number one boundary corner has struggled to start the season, giving up 12 receptions while only having one pass breakup. His play has earned him the dubious distinction of being the 97th-ranked cornerback so far this season out of 99 by Pro Football Focus.
Is this a short-term struggle for Benford or are there long-term problems starting to arise?
Speaking of Benford and problems, he left Sunday's game in a walking boot and missed the first practice of the week with a toe injury. Keon Coleman also missed practice on Wednesday with his ankle, while stars DJ Moore and Deone Walker were limited. Is there a concern for this week's game against New England?
The Patriots are coming to Orchard Park with their backs against the walls. The offense has just two touchdowns in three games, and they're averaging only 12 points per game. It's an early season must-win for New England who would fall three games back of the Bills in the AFC East with a loss.
But how dangerous are they to Buffalo? It was in Buffalo that New England's season turned around, and they started their run to the division title. If the Bills aren't careful, it can happen again. But will they overlook the Patriots?
Let's discuss all of it.
