Josh Allen reaches new milestones as James Cook faces ball security scrutiny. We dissect the Rams victory and whether Buffalo’s defense can survive a tightening playoff race.
The Buffalo Bills are coming off a big win over the Los Angeles Rams, but there are still plenty of questions surrounding the team as the regular season continues.
Welcome to episode 52 (ONE YEAR!) of the Bills Roundtable Podcast. Join hosts Mike Straw and Anthony Moeglin as they break down Buffalo’s victory, Josh Allen’s latest accomplishments, James Cook’s fumbling concerns, and a defense that continues to make it difficult to trust the team against quality opponents.
Allen continues to cement his place in NFL history, adding to an already impressive resume while leading Buffalo through another important stretch of the season. His ability to make plays and carry the offense remains one of the biggest reasons the Bills can compete with anyone, even when other areas of the team struggle.
However, the talk around Buffalo’s offense isn’t entirely positive. Cook’s fumbling issues have become a growing concern, and head coach Joe Brady has made it clear that the running back could see his carries limited if the problem doesn’t improve. Cook remains an important part of the Bills’ offensive attack, but ball security will be something to watch as the team looks to maintain its momentum.
The defense is another major concern. Despite the win over Los Angeles, Buffalo continues to struggle to deliver consistent performances on that side of the ball. The unit has given fans reasons to question whether it can be trusted when the stakes get higher, especially with the Bills needing to keep pace in a competitive AFC playoff race.
That brings us to New England. With the Patriots in the picture, Buffalo can’t afford to take its foot off the gas. Can the Bills keep stacking wins and keep the pressure on their division rival, or will the defensive issues eventually catch up with them?
We also look ahead to Buffalo’s upcoming matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders. The Bills will have another opportunity to build on their win over the Rams, but they'll need to take care of business if they want to maintain their position and avoid giving New England an opening.
All of that and more is covered in the latest episode of the Bills Roundtable Podcast, including what Buffalo needs to clean up moving forward and whether this team is built to make a serious run.
