The Cleveland Browns are being predicted to trade away Dillon Gabriel to a team from the NFC South.

Deshaun Watson was named the starting quarterback of the Cleveland Browns for the upcoming NFL season, despite backlash from the fanbase.

Watson beat out other competitors such as Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. However, most people expect Sanders to take over as the starter at some point later in the season.

But the team now has too many quarterbacks on the roster, and there have been rumors that Cleveland could look to move one. However, the Browns have pushed back on this idea os far as we get closer to the season start.

NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report has put together a trade for the Browns to send Gabriel to the Atlanta Falcons. Here is how the deal would look, according to Knox:

Adding Tua Tagovailoa to the deal is interesting, especially since he could start for the Falcons. But Atlanta has also said that they want to start Michael Penix Jr. at some point, which could leave Tagovailoa in the dust.

However, the Browns may not want to trade a quarterback for another quarterback in a deal like this. Plus, removing Tagovailoa could net the Browns a higher draft pick, even if it were to only go to a sixth-round selection.

Should Browns Trade Dillon Gabriel?

While the Browns have multiple quarterbacks on the roster, trading Gabriel does make sense. The team is starting Watson, with Sanders as the backup, leaving no room for Gabriel to see the field barring any injuries taking place.

Gabriel did show some flashes last season for the Browns, which may be enough for the team to move him. The second-year signal-caller is young enough for another team to take him on a flier, seeing what he can provide.

Last season, Gabriel started six games for the Browbs, going 1-5 as a starter. He appeared in 10 games total, throwing for 937 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions.

The signal-caller also rushed for 86 yards, showing some dual-threat ability. But it wasn't good enough to beat out Sanders or Watson for the job this season.

Overall, the Browns should look to part ways with Gabriel, getting something in return for his services. It doesn't make much sense for the team to have so many quarterbacks on the roster, and if they can net a future pick, moving him now would be smart.
