Should the Cleveland Browns trade Cedric Tillman?
The Atlanta Falcons and Las Vegas Raiders have been named ideal trade landing spots for Cleveland Browns WR Cedric Tillman by NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report.
Cleveland has a crowded WR room, so Tillman may be better suited to play somewhere else.
"While Tillman could potentially stick as a fourth or fifth receiver and a core special-teamer, he should be hoping for a better opportunity to play," Knox wrote. "He's still only 26 years old, and he'll get his first taste of free agency in 2027. Teams lacking receiver depth and in position to bet on a younger receiver should be interested."
In 13 games for the Browns last season, Tillman had 21 receptions for 270 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. He's been with Cleveland since 2023.
Tillman enters next season with 71 receptions for 833 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.
The Browns' WR room is made up of Tillman, KC Concepcion, Denzel Boston, Jerry Jeudy, Isaiah Bond, Luke Floriea and Gage Larvadain. It will be interesting to see if we see a trade happen soon.
It's unknown who will be throwing the ball for the Browns in 2026. Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders are battling for the QB1 spot. Watson missed all of last season recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered in 2024, while Sanders went 3-4 as a starter.
Meanwhile, since making his Browns debut, Watson has posted a 33.1 Total QBR, the lowest among qualified passers. The odds of the former Houston Texans star turning back the clock after an Achilles tear are pretty low, which is why many NFL pundits believe Cleveland should start Sanders so the team can fully evaluate him for an entire season.
Watson has 3,365 passing yards and 19 passing touchdowns with Cleveland. He's thrown 12 interceptions.
Many Cleveland fans want Sanders to start because Watson has been horrendous since getting traded to the Browns. He also dealt with off-the-field stuff.
When Watson tore his Achilles in 2024, Browns fans cheered. That should tell you everything about how Cleveland fans regard Watson.
Some people in the NFL believe the Browns are best suited to be putrid again in 2026 so that they can get a top pick in 2027 and select Arch Manning or Dante Moore. Let's see what happens.
