The Cleveland Browns' hot start this season can be attributed to strong play from multiple rookies.

Through the first four weeks of the NFL season, the Cleveland Browns have been one of the bigger surprises of the year.

Cleveland holds a record of 3-1, with the team having won three straight games after a poor Week 1 outing. The Browns have been good on both sides of the ball, getting contributions from multiple players this year.

While it is still early in the season, Cleveland has the look of a potential playoff team, with the possibility of them winning the AFC North in the process. But for now, the Browns will try to take things one game at a time, seeing if they can shock the NFL.

Part of why the Browns have been so good this season has been the play from multiple rookies impacting the team. Cleveland has seemingly had a good 2026 NFL Draft class, and it's paying off, at least so far.

In fact, through the first four weeks of the season, three different rookies for Cleveland have been ranked in the top 15 of Pro Football Focus's rookie rankings. Wide receiver Denzel Boston comes in ranked No. 7, safety Emmanuel McNeil-Warren comes in ranked at No. 9, and offensive lineman Austin Barber was ranked at No. 15.

There are others from the rookie class who have impacted the hot start for the Browns, but these three have graded very well. Boston has become the team's No. 1 option at wide receiver, giving quarterback Deshaun Watson a legitimate option to throw the ball to.

Boston, the Browns' second-round draft pick, has impressed so far, showing that he belongs in the NFL. The Browns have been very happy with his progress, and he will keep trying to build on his start.

As for McNeil-Warren, also a second-round pick for Cleveland, has helped the defense grow this season. So far, the safety has recorded 15 total tackles, with two pass deflections in his rookie year.

Barber, a third-round pick of the Browns, has stepped up heavily, giving this team a legitimate piece on the offensive line. The former Florida product has allowed six pressures through the season, seeing 152 pass-blocking snaps.

The Browns believe that Barber can be part of the offensive line for years to come, and he has earned his keep in the league. Cleveland wants to have a physical line, bringing smash-mouth football to the field each week.

Consistency will be the key for each of the rookies on this list, but the Browns can thank them for the strong part to the year.
