Quinshon Judkins is back for the Cleveland Browns.
Cleveland Browns RB Quinshon Judkins is fully healthy for training camp after suffering a severe injury last season, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
Judkins is coming back from an ankle injury and a fractured fibula that required surgery.
Judkins was one of the few bright spots for the Browns last season. The talented playmaker had 827 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns in 14 games. He generated five games of 80-plus yards, including a career-high 110-yarder in Week 5.
"Just taking it day by day, man, and just really knowing the goal and where I want to be and getting back to making plays on the field and just feeling like myself," Judkins said. "So that's what my main goal was."
Assuming he is healthy once the 2026 season starts, Judkins will be RB 1 for the Browns. He will be expected to be one of the leaders on offense.
"Yeah, I would say, like you said, confident," Judkins said. "I know the work that I put in. So I'm prepared to just go out there and just put it on the field."
It's unknown who will be handing the ball off to Judkins. Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders are battling for the QB1 spot. Watson missed all of last season recovering from the Achilles tear he suffered in 2024, while Sanders went 3-4 as a starter.
Meanwhile, since making his Browns debut, Watson has posted a 33.1 Total QBR, the lowest among qualified passers. The odds of the former Houston Texans star turning back the clock after an Achilles tear are pretty low, which is why many NFL pundits believe Cleveland should start Sanders so the team can fully evaluate him for an entire season.
Watson has 3,365 passing yards and 19 passing touchdowns with Cleveland. He's thrown 12 interceptions.
Many Cleveland fans want Sanders to start because Watson has been horrendous since getting traded to the Browns. He also dealt with off-the-field stuff.
When Watson tore his Achilles in 2024, Browns fans cheered. That should tell you everything about how Cleveland fans regard Watson.
Some people in the NFL believe the Browns are best suited to be putrid again in 2026 so that they can get a top pick in 2027 and select Arch Manning or Dante Moore. Let's see what happens.
