Here's why the Cleveland Browns must consider selecting this highly-touted SEC pass catcher in the 2026 NFL Draft.

With the 2025 NFL season set to officially conclude this weekend, the Cleveland Browns will now begin preparing for the upcoming season.

General manager Andrew Berry and the rest of the front office have already begun to reshape the franchise this offseason, as the Browns hired former Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken to become the team’s next head coach. However, in order to aid Monken in his first season, it’s clear that the roster needs a complete overhaul before training camp.

While Cleveland’s offense is in desperate need of help, the wide receiver position must be addressed through free agency or the draft. Luckily for the struggling organization, Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion is a terrific fit for the Browns when looking at the potential first-round picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Why Concepcion is a Perfect Fit

Concepcion, prior to becoming a top prospect in the upcoming draft class, spent two seasons with the North Carolina State Wolfpack. During his time with the program, the young wideout managed to tally 1,299 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns, while also recording 356 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 60 carries.

This led to him entering the transfer portal following the conclusion of the 2024 season, resulting in him landing with the Aggies.

The move to the SEC proved to be an excellent decision for the talented offensive weapon, as he finished the 2025 season with 61 catches for 919 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games.

One of the main reasons Concepcion was successful at the college level was his ability to excel at all three levels of the field.

At 5-foot-11, 190 lbs., Concepcion’s combination of smooth route running and electric speed allowed him to be an outstanding deep threat downfield and a yards-after-the-catch monster in the short game. According to PFF, the speedy pass catcher had a total of 240 deep yards in 2025, along with an average of 7.2 yards after the catch.

There are, however, some concerns about Concepcion leading up to the draft.

Last year, Concepcion had seven drops, which was partly due to his size. His small stature caused him to drop some passes across the middle of the field, as he struggles to absorb contact at the catch point. Concepcion’s size also limits him as a blocker in both the pass and run game, which could affect his play at the NFL level.

If the Browns ultimately decide to take an offensive tackle with the No. 6 pick, Concepcion would be an excellent choice with the team’s second first-round pick in the 2026 draft. His ability to line up all across the field, including the backfield, is exactly what Cleveland’s offense needs heading into next season.
