As the Sunday final cut deadline approaches, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made some early moves.
As of 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, the team has waived eight players, according to FOX Sports Bucs' Reporter Greg Auman.

QB Connor Bazelak
On Friday night, the Bucs suffered their first preseason defeat, losing 19-0 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bazelak did not get much time, completing just two pass attempts for five yards.
With the emergence of Jalon Daniels, it seemed more unlikely that Bazelak would remain rostered.
RB Barika Kpeenu
Kpeenu was added as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) after a standout career at North Dakota State.
The 5-foot-9 tailback rushed for over 1,000 yards last season.
TE Kenny Fletcher Jr.
Fletcher was also added as an UDFA to compete for a role in one of the weaker position groups on the team.
But, with the Bucs drafting former LSU tight end Bauer Sharp late, it was an uphill battle for Fletcher to compete for a depth spot.
OG Nash Hutmacher
Hutmacher was a depth piece on the practice squad last season, signing as an UDFA following the 2025 NFL Draft.
The interior lineman was a two-time Big Ten Honorable Mention with Nebraska.
He attempted a move from defensive tackle to offensive guard this Spring.
DT Travis Shaw
Shaw, a former college journeyman, did not get much run in the preseason.
With veterans like Rakeem Nunez-Roches and A'Shawn Robinson joining Vita Vea on the interior, it was difficult to see a path for Shaw.
LB John Bullock
Bullock is one of the few players cut that saw run for the Bucs last season.
The former Cornhusker appeared in 15 games last season, but played in a limited capacity, recording ten total tackles.
Jack Pyburn's silver-lining performance in Tampa's 19-0 loss likely solidified his spot on the roster in an already crowded linebacking room.
K BT Potter
Potter was never in line to compete against Chase McLaughlin for the starting kicker role, but made the most of his opportunities in preseason.
The former Clemson standout made all four of his extra points, tacking on a field goal.
OT Marshall Foerner
Foerner is one of the more-surprising cuts thus far, as the 6-foot-6 offensive tackle signed a small two-year deal with the Bucs last offseason.
But, the Bucs seem to like other players like Ben Chukwuma and Paul Rubelt, who are big and have both shown flashes in preseason.
