Reuniting for a third time, the veteran defensive duo brings Super Bowl experience and imposing physicality to Tampa Bay’s front seven to solidify a transitioning defensive unit.

Despite big losses this offseason, Tampa Bay Buccaneers General Manager Jason Licht and the front office did a good job of supplementing the roster with veteran players who will make instant impacts.

Among the additions are linebacker Christian Rozeboom and defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson, who will play alongside each other for a third different franchise.

This duo suited up for the Los Angeles Rams and most-recently, the division-rival Carolina Panthers, but will now take the field together in red and black.

With Fall camp underway, Rozeboom was asked about the luxury of playing with a guy he's comfortable with.

"I’m glad he’s on my team. He’s kind of scary," Rozeboom said about Robinson.

Robinson, a 10-year veteran, had his best season in 2024, totaling career highs in tackles (80) and sacks (5.5) in his first year in Carolina.

He followed that up with another strong showing last year, notching 65 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 31 pressures in 658 snaps, and grading in at 65.5 (42nd among 134 interior DLs), according to Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Following longtime Bucs DT Logan Hall's departure, Robinson looks to fill a similar role, playing alongside Pro-Bowl nose tackle Vita Vea.

Robinson has also played in multiple different systems and big moments, having won a Super Bowl with the Rams years ago.

Robinson racked up six tackles and a sack in the big game, contributing one of seven sacks on Joe Burrow.

According to PFF, Robinson was the third-highest graded Rams defenseman in their 23-20 Super Bowl victory, grading in at an 89.5 -- nearly seven full points higher than Rams legend Aaron Donald.

Following the win, Robinson joined NFL Network's "NFL Now," where he talked about how special this victory was.

"Honestly, it's a blessing. God gave me this and I ran with it. I can't complain. Its dreams coming true," Robinson said. "Its like Disneyland."

For a Bucs defense that went through ebbs and flows of consistency last season, Robinson brings a level of reliability to the trenches.

On a one-year, $10 million deal, Robinson will be playing to increase or keep his value the same for the following year, suiting up alongside Rozeboom, who is a solid player in his own right.

After a limited start to his NFL career, Rozeboom has transformed into a tackling machine, racking up 336 tackles over the past three seasons. He began his career with the Rams before a brief stint in Kansas City.

In 2025, the 29-year old led the Carolina Panthers with 122 tackles, stepping up in an injury-riddled defensive front seven.

Alongside Alex Anzalone, Tampa has formed a veteran linebacking core that can fly around the field and cover the middle.

These new additions should help the Bucs return to the defensive prowess under head coach Todd Bowles that fans are used too.
