Their Week 5 road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers might be a game that the Indianapolis Colts would like to quickly forget, but Pro Football Focus is first commending a pair of individual players for their performance.

Colts left guard Quenton Nelson and return specialist Anthony Gould were both named to PFF's NFL Week 5 Team of the Week.

Nelson has been outstanding through five weeks, as expected. His 88.3 overall offensive grade is second among all NFL guards and fourth among all offensive linemen.

In Week 5, Nelson played 71 snaps and earned a grade of 86.9, the best among left guards and second among all guards, while Houston Texans right guard Ed Ingram notched an 89.0.

In 47 pass-block snaps, Nelson earned a grade of 86.7 (fifth among guards) and allowed just one pressure on quarterback Daniel Jones, a hurry, for a pass-block efficiency of 98.9.

The Colts as a whole gave up just one sack and three hits on Jones all day.

In the run game, Nelson scored a 81.9 (fifth among guards). On runs through Nelson's gaps, the Colts accumulated 28 yards, a first down, and a 10-plus-yard run on five carries (5.6 avg.).

Overall, the Colts did not run the ball well, carrying it 24 times for 66 yards (2.8 avg.) and a touchdown, but they were productive behind Nelson.

CAREER-BEST RETURN SPARKS HONORS

Once again, in Ashton Dulin's absence, Gould returned two kickoffs for 81 yards (40.5 avg.), including a career-long 54-yarder in the first quarter.

His kickoff return average was the best in the NFL among players with multiple returns, and he had the fourth-longest return in the league in Week 5.

This season, Gould has returned seven kickoffs for an average of 30.7 yards, and two punts for an average of 12.5 yards. Gould is third in the NFL in kickoff return average.

2026 COLTS PFF 'TEAM OF THE WEEK' HONORS

This is the third time the Colts have had a guard earn Team of the Week honors this year, as right guard Matt Goncalves made it in Weeks 1 and 4. Fellow kickoff returner Seth McGowan also made the team in Week 1. Linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither was on the Team of the Week in Week 4.

  • Week 1: RG Matt Goncalves, RS Seth McGowan
  • Week 4: RG Matt Goncalves, LB Akeem Davis-Gaither
  • Week 5: LG Quenton Nelson, RS Anthony Gould
