The Indianapolis Colts signed wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither, and re-signed cornerback Cameron Mitchell.

The Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent LB Akeem Davis-Gaither, who reunites with Lou Anarumo, his former defensive coordinator with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Indianapolis Colts continued their busy offseason this week, adding their eighth and ninth outside players of the month: wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither.

The Colts also re-signed cornerback Cameron Mitchell, their seventh internal re-signing in the last two weeks.

Westbrook-Ikhine (6'2", 211, 29 years old) came into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2020 out of Indiana University. He signed with the Tennessee Titans (2020-24) before agreeing to a contract with the Miami Dolphins (2025) last offseason.

He has started 42-of-93 career games, caught 137 receptions for 1,862 yards (13.6 avg.) and 19 touchdowns, including a 98-yarder in 2024.

The Colts have a void at wide receiver that Westbrook-Ikhine can help fill after the team traded away Michael Pittman Jr. recently and AD Mitchell during last season's trade deadline.

Westbrook-Ikhine is a big-bodied player known for his downfield prowess, catching 14-of-35 targets for 570 yards and five touchdowns on throws 20-plus yards downfield in his career, according to Pro Football Focus.

Davis-Gaither is the first semblance of seriousness the Colts have shown at linebacker this offseason. They traded their leader, Zaire Franklin, to the Green Bay Packers, and fellow starter Germaine Pratt remains on the free agent market.

Davis-Gaither (6'2", 238, 28) was a fourth-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020 out of Appalachian State. He signed a contract with the Arizona Cardinals (2025) last offseason.

He has started 24-of-88 career games, totaling 321 tackles (nine for loss), 0.5 sacks, four QB hits, three forced fumbles, three fumbles recovered, three interceptions, and 16 pass breakups.

Davis-Gaither played for Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo when the two were together in Cincinnati from 2020-24. Both left the Bengals last offseason.

Mitchell (5'11", 191, 24) returns for a second season in Indianapolis and potentially his first complete season.

He was originally selected in the fifth round in 2023 out of Northwestern by the Cleveland Browns (2023-25). He was waived in Week 3 last year and picked up by the Colts. Mitchell has started five-of-40 career games, totaling 61 tackles (four for loss), 1.0 sack, one QB hit, one forced fumble, and eight pass breakups. He played 225 defensive snaps in eight games last year for the Colts.

Mitchell faces a tough road to make the roster, but he adds a blend of experience and youth to the Colts' corner room. He'll be competing for a spot behind Colts cornerbacks Sauce Gardner, Charvarius Ward Sr., Kenny Moore II, Justin Walley, Cam Taylor-Britt, Mekhi Blackmon, Johnathan Edwards, and Jaylon Jones.
