The Indianapolis Colts announced on Tuesday that they signed running back Davon Booth and guard Reid Holskey to the team's practice squad.

Two days after waiving running back Ulysses Bentley IV during preseason roster cuts, and a day after signing him to the practice squad, the Colts announced that they released Bentley from the practice squad to help make room for Booth and Holskey.

Bentley had a standout summer in training camp, routinely making big plays, primarily as a pass-catcher. Before the Colts' roster was announced, he was a popular pick by the media to make it over second-year draft pick DJ Giddens, but the Colts went with Giddens, preferring to add Bentley to the practice squad.

Booth replaces Bentley on the practice squad. Booth (5'8", 192, 24 years old) was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cleveland Browns following this year's draft. Collegiately, he last played at Mississippi State (2024-25) after transferring from Utah State (2023) and Cerritos Community College (2021-22).

Booth saw 19 special teams snaps in the preseason, appearing on each group except for the field goal kick or block teams.

The Colts now have running backs Jonathan Taylor, Seth McGowan, and DJ Giddens on the active roster, and Anderson Castle and Booth on the practice squad.

Holskey (6'6", 306, 24) was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens following the 2025 draft and has since spent time with the Houston Texans (2025), New York Giants (2025-26), and Denver Broncos (2026).

In college at Miami (OH), Holskey appeared in 55 games (53 starts), earning Second-Team All-Mac honors in 2023 and First-Team All-Mac in 2024.

In the last two years, during the preseason, Holskey has played 130 offensive snaps at center (74), right guard (49), and left guard (7). He's allowed just one pressure, for a pass-block efficiency rate of 99.0. He's been penalized just once.

The Colts now have guards Quenton Nelson, Matt Goncalves, Jalen Farmer, and Dalton Tucker on the active roster, and Josh Sills and Holskey on the practice squad.
