The Indianapolis Colts (2-4) are in a tough spot on the road Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings (5-0), with five players out due to injury.

Prior to Sunday, the Colts had already ruled out linebacker CJ Allen (ankle), cornerback Sauce Gardner (calf), return specialist Anthony Gould (concussion), and tight end Tyler Warren. Linebacker Bryce Boettcher (groin) and cornerback Justin Walley (knee) were questionable, and Boettcher was made inactive, while Walley will give it a go.

The Vikings had a crystal-clear injury report.

Here is a list of both team's inactive players:

COLTS

  • LB CJ Allen (ankle)
  • LB Bryce Boettcher (groin)
  • CB Sauce Gardner (calf)
  • WR Anthony Gould (concussion)
  • QB Riley Leonard (emergency QB3)
  • IOL Dalton Tucker
  • TE Tyler Warren (groin)

Without Allen and Boettcher, expect to see Jaylon Carlies back in the lineup at WILL linebacker next to MIKE Akeem Davis-Gaither. Carlies has missed the last two weeks with a rib injury. Germaine Pratt and Austin Ajiake will likely also see much more action.

Cam Taylor-Britt will likely start at corner for Gardner, as was the case during Gardner's in-game exit last week. Otherwise, Walley could move into Gardner's spot, and Taylor-Britt plays in Walley's nickel role.

Without Tyler Warren for a second straight week, it'll be Will Mallory as the primary pas-catching tight end, with Mo Alie-Cox, Drew Ogletree, and Pharaoh Brown also cycling in.

Gould is out with a concussion, but he'd been filling in for Ashton Dulin, who makes his return to the lineup on Sunday after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury.

On Saturday, the Colts announced that they elevated Pratt and cornerback Kenneth Harris from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game. They'll revert afterward. Their call-ups help with the absences of Allen/Boettcher and Gardner, respectively.
