The Indianapolis Colts play a game this Sunday in a moment that has taken a back seat to an eventful last two weeks.
On Mon., Oct. 19, the Colts fired general manager Chris Ballard after an embarrassing loss to the AFC South division rival Tennessee Titans dropped them to 2-4. The Colts lost again the following Sunday to the Minnesota Vikings, then traded away All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson and stalwart defensive tackle DeForest Buckner on Tues., Oct. 27.
Now, wide receiver Josh Downs has requested a trade, and rumors of star running back Jonathan Taylor's trade status are reaching a fever pitch.
Oh yeah, and the Colts haven't beaten the Jacksonville Jaguars, this week's opponent, on the road since 2014, which amounts to their last 11 attempts.
Will something go the Colts' way this weekend? Here's how you can catch all the action, whether you're streaming, watching on TV, or listening over the airwaves.
Colts vs. Jaguars
- Date/Time: Sun., Nov. 1, at 1:00pm ET
- Where: Jacksonville, Fla.; EverBank Stadium
- Television: CBS — Spero Dedes (play-by-play), Adam Archuleta (color), Aditi Kinkhabwala (sideline)
- Stream: Paramount+, NFL+ (mobile), NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube/YouTube TV (subscription)

This will be the Colts' first game without Nelson and Buckner since 2019, so the vibes felt by their teammates will probably be different.
Rookie Jalen Farmer will be the new left guard, starting for the first time, while fourth-year interior pass-rusher Adetomiwa Adebawore will take over for Buckner. Adebawore has been playing the best football of his career in this, the final year of his rookie contract.
Colts head coach Shane Steichen confirmed that both Taylor and Downs will be active and play on Sunday despite their status being in limbo. Things could always change if a handshake deal gets in place with another team, but for now, the plan is for both Taylor and Downs to play.
On the injury front, the Colts will get back a pair of stars in tight end Tyler Warren and cornerback Sauce Gardner. Warren has missed the last two games with a groin injury, and Gardner missed last week's game. Rookie linebacker and top draft pick CJ Allen also returns after an ankle injury kept him out of last week's game, which was supposed to be his first-career start.
Fellow rookie linebacker Bryce Boettcher (groin) is questionable, as is tight end Drew Ogletree (knee). Starting slot defender Justin Walley (knee) is out and will likely be replaced by undrafted rookie Kapena Gushiken. Return specialist Anthony Gould (concussion) is also out and will likely be replaced by Ashton Dulin and Seth McGowan on kickoffs, and either Dulin or Downs on punts.
The Colts' road losing streak against the Jags is a peculiar one given the division aspect offers an annual attempt. During the streak, the average score is 31-16 in favor of the Jaguars. The Jaguars have won by at least two scores in seven of the 11 games, and they have also scored at least 30 points in seven of the games.
