The Washington Commanders made their long awaited reveal on Wednesday morning after announcing three uniforms for the 2026 season
The wait is over - the Washington Commanders have unveiled the new uniforms for the upcoming 2026 regular season.
The Commanders are turning back the clock to make the Super Bowl Era uniform the primary uniforms for the 2026 regular season, introducing a new alternate spear logo while also bringing back the glossy burgundy helmets.
Washington also announced a new alternate uniform called the "Hail Raiser," an all black uniform paired with a black helmet while featuring the modified local of the Spear W logo. The Commanders announced that the addition of the spear and its sharpest point "symbolizes the top fighters, the front lines, those leading a mission who are unafraid to step into the fire." The Commanders noted the all back adds a "stealth quality" while fans await the primetime game for the team to sport the new uniforms.
The Commanders detailed the full 2026 uniform with the burgundy jersey inspired by the team's Super Bowl Era dominance, per release, while the white uniform "steps into a primary role for 2026."
The Commanders announced that both the burgundy and white uniforms will also feature an updated helmet with a glossy look, sporting the signature three stripe pattern with a gold facemark. Both the burgundy and white uniforms will also have the option of being paired with gold pants while also sporting the same two stripes that are seen on all of the Commanders uniforms.
The good news? Fans can also get their hands on the new merchandise.
The team announced that both officially licensed jerseys and Commanders apparel items will be available to purchase at Store.Commanders.com. Fans can also purchase in person beginning at noon on April 15 at Northwest Stadium. Season ticket holders will be available to purchase the updated merchandise one hour earlier with the team store open until 8 PM.
Washington also announced it will host a Pop Up Raly at Franklin Hall beginning at 5:30 PM tonight with several guests expected in attendance paired with giveaway items.
Meanwhile, details of the new stadium emerged earlier this week with the Commanders set to suit up in the new RFK Stadium in 2030 with excitement around how the detailed renderings come to life.
All eyes will now turn to when the Commanders will wear what uniforms during the 2026 regular season after the upcoming opponents were finalized once the 2025 regular season was completed.
