After a flurry of roster moves, the Washington Commanders have now filled all 16 spots including the International Player Pathway slot
The Washington Commanders have filled its 17-man practice squad ahead of the 2026 regular season, including filling the available spot through the International Player Pathway.
WR Jaden Bradley
The DeMatha product is sticking in Washington after drawing intrigue as a practice squad candidate nearly all offseason. The 6-foot-5 receiver came down with an impressive one haded grab in the week two loss vs. Detroit, while he finished second on the team in both catches (6) and receiving yards (81) in preseason.
DT Byron Cowart
The fifth University of Maryland product within the organization, Cowart is another who stuck out during preseason where the Commanders needed to address interior DL depth. Cowart posted ten total tackles, including five solo, through three preseason games.
CB Fred Davis II
After being activated off the active/NFI list ahead of training camp, Davis departed the first preseason game on a cart after telling Ben Standig postgame that he experienced a full body cramp. The UDFA signing will look to stick out as a rookie on the practice squad.
C/G Julian Good-Jones
Arguably the most debated player through August alongside Nick Allegretti, Washington elected to retain Good-Jones for a fourth season along the practice squad. Good-Jones drew starter reps in preseason as the Commanders battled through Allegretti's absence, but it's rookie Matt Gulbin who has drawn backup duties heading into the regular season.
QB Sam Hartman
After being outplayed by seventh round pick Athan Kaliakmanis, Hartman is back with the organization for a third season yet squarely facing an uphill battle to return to the 53-man roster. Hartman completed 65% of his passes with one interception and 211 yards through three preseason games.
RB Robert Henry Jr.
After dazzling in the preseason opener, the UDFA running back struggled over the next two games with just 30 yards over his last 14 carries, along with a fumble on special teams. Yet he adds speed to the unit as one of two running backs on the practice squad.
OLB D.J. Johnson
Johnson recorded four tackles through three preseason games and is set to return to the team's practice squad for the second straight season.
LB Ale Kaho
The inside linebacker came down with an interception in the preseason opener vs. Miami and was in the midst of a position battle, but came up short in a room that has a lot to like between Sonny Styles, Frankie Luvu and Leo Chenal. Kaho registered nine solo tackles and 15 total through his three preseason appearances.
DT Jeffrey M'Ba
The UDFA signing re-joins the organization as the team's International Pathway Program signing with TJ Maguranyanga sidelined due to injury. M'Ba adds interior defensive line depth with Ricky Barber and Maurice Hurst II both on the initial 53-man roster. M'Ba registered eight tackles through his three appearances.
OT Esa Pole
The first player on another NFL roster to land on Washington's practice squad, Pole arrived in Washington after starting in four games and appearing in five as an undrafted rookie with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2025. He adds versatility as a potential swing tackle, alleviating some of the concern about the quality of the depth of the interior offensive line.
RB Craig Reynolds
After signing midway through training camp, Reynolds showed flashes of what he could add to the end of the room as an intriguing 53-man addition given Jeremy McNichols remained sidelined due to a quad injury. Reynolds averaged 3.64 yards per carry and added three catches for seven yards over two games.
CB Darius Rush
Rush and Antonio Hamilton both struggled in the preseason finale, but he's set to return to the team's practice squad after notching nine total tackles across three games.
IOL Trent Scott
Scott is set to return to Washington for his fourth consecutive season including second on the practice squad. He adds to the depth at guard while also capable of playing tackle.
TE Joshua Simon
After spending time on the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent last offseason, Simon joins Washington after the team announced his signing on Tuesday. He has yet to record a stat in the NFL after leading South Carolina in catches, receiving yards and touchdowns in 2024.
CB Terell Smith
A former fifth round pick in 2023, Smith saw his 2025 season end after suffering a torn patellar tendon in preseason with the Chicago Bears. He notched 19 tackles, four passes defended and one interception in 14 games and two starts over his first two seasons with the team.
TE Jack Westover
After spending two seasons with the New England Patriots on the practice squad, he was elevated to the 53-man roster in week 12 then moved to fullback to serve as an additional blocker. Westover appeared in all 17 regular season games and started in two games before being waived last week.
CB Isaac Yiadom
A surprising cut from New Orleans, the 30 year old veteran has appeared in 118 total games across stints with the 49ers, Saints, Packers, Giants, Texans and Broncos before arriving in Washington for his first practice squad stint of his career. Yiadom previously inked a three year deal worth $9 million with the Saints in March 2025, but arrives on the Commanders' practice squad potentially adding depth as Fabian Moreau's re-signing gives the defense four healthy cornerbacks available for week one.
