After veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs drew headlines as an ideal fit for the Washington Commanders, another outlet pointed to Trevon Diggs as a fit.

The Washington Commanders' lingering need at wide receiver is well documented this offseason, as are the options with Brandon Aiyuk the longtime option with timing the only question still left to be answered as the San Francisco 49ers have shown no interest in a quick resolution.

The other is veteran Stefon Diggs, who has become a bigger storyline over the last month after seeing his legal troubles sorted following a not guilty verdict on all charges. That has helped set the stage for the 32 year old, who is still expected to draw interest from several teams. It did not take long for the Commanders to emerge as a viable option after immediately being named one of the best fits, though details on who could be in play and for how much emerged this weekend.

Albert Breer reported that the Commanders join the Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams as sensible landing spots. While it may not be any breaking news that Washington is once again among the batch of interested teams, Breer wasn't the only one who noted it after Pro Football Focus also pointed to the Commanders as the ideal landing spot for the Gaithersburg, Md. native, who is back in the area for his offseason training program while he is set to host his annual youth camp in College Park on Saturday, June 13.

Breer also painted a picture of what Diggs could command financially after pointing out that a reunion with the New England Patriots is unlikely, but one neither side is opposed to. Yet a one year, $10 million deal could be sensible for Diggs, according to Breer, which doesn't differ much from Spotrac's current market value which projects a two year, $27.6 million deal.

ESPN also projected the Los Angeles Rams as the best fit for Diggs while also noting the Baltimore Ravens as a fit on paper, which comes days after ESPN's John Keim previously noted that both Diggs and Aiyuk remain viable targets at the position of need though he viewed Aiyuk as slightly more likely from a financial perspective. But with the second-most cap space still left to work with, is a potentially short-term deal that doesn't derail the front office's cap flexibility the best route given the Aiyuk saga remains unresolved?

Yet ESPN also pointed to the Commanders as the best remaining fit for Stefon's brother, cornerback Trevon Diggs.

After dazzling early in his career with 17 interceptions through his first three seasons, the Avalon graduate is coming off a struggling 2025 season where he played just nine total games including eight with the Dallas Cowboys before being released. The former second round pick struggled mightily in coverage during the 2024 season as well, while Diggs played one game with the Green Bay Packers at the end of the 2025 season.

The benefit for Washington is the familiarity among the coaches with Trevon given he played under Dan Quinn in Dallas, but whether he's a true upgrade at a position of need is a worthy debate.

Yet after bypassing the draft to upgrade the position and adding a pair of veterans in free agency, whether the Commanders would actually show interest in Trevon Diggs ahead of the regular season remains more of a question mark given the questions about how impactful the former All-Pro selection can still be.
