Lamb has the chance to move past a franchise legend in the record books on Sunday.

Since being drafted in 2020, Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb has been superb, and No. 88 has had a good start to the 2026 season.

In Lamb's three games, he's produced 309 yards and 3 TDs (the most he had in all of 2025), as his connection with Dak Prescott is as good as it's ever been.

CeeDee was asked the reason for his fast start this season, and his response was simple: "I'm healthy," and that was what Lamb had stated all offseason, and through three weeks, he's been looking like the All-Pro we know him to be.

And as the Houston Texans come into view in Week 4 for the Cowboys, No. 88 has the chance to further enhance his Dallas career.

Lamb needs 98 receiving yards to surpass Hall of Famer and franchise legend Drew Pearson to move to No. 4 all-time for receiving yards in Cowboys history.

And if he were to surpass Drew on Sunday, what would Lamb think of it?

"That would be fire," Lamb said. "I know he probably won't like it, but I'm sure he'll be happy for me. Just continuing to strive for greatness, continue to be better for my team, and I feel like at the end of goal, come out victorious. It'll be much sweeter then."

And Lamb is right. Winning would make it even better.

Totaling 98 yards against this Houston defense looms as a tall order.

But DeMeco Ryans' defense has had trouble slowing down an offense's No. 1 weapon this season, with DJ Moore (100 yards in Week 1), Tee Higgins (95 yards in Week 2), and Josh Downs (77 yards in Week 3) all having their way against Houston.

So, Lamb could have an avenue to feast against this Texans' defense, especially with George Pickens on the other side. But for him to do that, Dak Prescott has to have enough time to deliver the ball.

If that happens, Lamb could surpass Pearson for the fourth spot on the all-time receiving yards list in Cowboys history.
