The Cowboys have released their final injury report ahead of Sunday's game against Washington.
The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for the Washington Commanders to come into AT&T Stadium in Week 2 of the NFL season as Brian Schottenheimer's team is already in pressure mode.
After the Week 1 debacle against the New York Giants, the Cowboys now face another division opponent as the thought of starting the year 0-2 is now very real.
Having been shown a clean set of heels by New York, the Cowboys face a Washington team that nearly took down the Philadelphia Eagles on the road as Jayden Daniels was a two-point conversion away from tying the game.
So this will be anything but an easy outing for Dallas, especially after the franchise dropped its final injury report ahead of Sunday.
Linebacker DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) and safety Malik Hooker (forearm) are two confirmed outs for Dallas. But we knew that already.
Elsewhere, James Houston (shoulder) and Ajani Cornelius (knee) are both full-go for Sunday, with Houston limited in practice on Wednesday.
Other than that, Dallas is fully healthy (minus Tyler Smith) coming into this one.
As a result of it all, on Saturday, the elevated LB Justin Barron and LB Curtis Robinson from the practice squad for the game against Washington.
As for Washington?
Linebacker Frankie Luvu (groin) and tight end Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) have both been ruled out by the Commanders, while defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw is officially listed as questionable for Sunday.
Both teams are relatively healthy coming into this one, which is expected since we are only in Week 2, but we know how fickle football can be.
For the Cowboys, all the pressure is on them to win this. No one expected a 0-2 start; in fact, most expected a 2-0 start before things got tough. Well, they are tough after just one game.
All eyes are going to be on Christian Parker's defense and what they produce after the horror show at MetLife.
Having looked very similar to Matt Eberflus' defense last year, we are about to see how good a teacher Parker is because if we don't see much improvement from the defense, this season will take on a vastly different feel.
All the hope and optimism is gone. But it can return with a Week 2 win over Washington.
And the Cowboys appear healthy enough to do it.
