We are at the stage of the season where teams are banged up, and the Dallas Cowboys are no different.
Having several players dealing with several issues, it hasn't been a good week inside The Star.
And as the Cowboys dropped their latest injury report on Thursday, the bad news got worse.
All-Pro CeeDee Lamb missed his second straight practice with an illness, while Tyler Guyton, DaRon Bland (more on him later), and Alijah Clark were all DNP's.
The other big headline this week was defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, who was in concussion protocol after the Minnesota Vikings game, and there is some positive movement. After a DNP on Wednesday, big "Q" was limited on Thursday.
Jake Ferguson, Osa Odighizuwa, and Nate Thomas had their second full day of practice in a row as all three are trending in the right direction.
Trevon Diggs was still limited, as were Javonte Williams and the recently returning to practice trio Phil Mafah, Shavon Revel Jr., and Payton Turner, so that wasn't unexpected.
But this was.
Bland was a DNP on Wednesday with a foot injury, and he carried that same designation on Thursday.
Now comes the bad - well, even worse - news.
The Cowboys' All-Pro corner is looking like he will be having surgery on his left foot, which would make it the second time he's needed it in two years.
As noted by ESPN, there is a chance that Bland will be placed on Injured Reserve, ending his 2025 season with three games left.
It is worth noting that Bland hasn't had surgery and is reportedly getting a second opinion, but what is known is that Dallas won't have its All-Pro corner for the rest of the season, even if surgery isn't needed.
When it rains, it pours.
