The Cowboys appear to be a little banged up heading into Sunday's game.

The Dallas Cowboys are picking themselves off the canvas after the awful loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

With three games left in the season, the Cowboys still have pride to play for, and will tackle the Los Angeles Chargers at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.

But as the franchise dropped its injury report on Wednesday, there were a couple of worrying signs ahead of Week 16 as Brian Schottenheimer's team put the pads on at The Star.

Star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams didn't practice as he is still in concussion protocol.

The other worry was All-Pro receiver CeeDee Lamb, who was a DNP due to illness.

Dallas will be hoping both recover in time to face the Chargers.

Elsewhere, left tackle Tyler Guyton was DNP again as he works through his ankle injury, corner DaRon Bland has a foot issue and didn't practice, and fullback Hunter Luepke joined Quinnen in concussion protocol.

Josh Butler, Phil Mafah, and Payton Turner were all limited as their 21-day window was activated, with the trio potentially able to play on Sunday.

Trevon Diggs, Shavon Revel Jr., Donovan Wilson, Javonte Williams, and Caelen Carson were all limited as well.

Lastly, Jake Ferguson, Osa Odighizuwa and Nate Thomas were all full participants at The Star.

So that is a lot to work through, with Lamb and Quinnen the headline news, and we imagine the Cowboys would be cautious with both, as there is now no need to force the issue.

With playoffs out of the picture, the injury report could pave the way for Dallas to rest some of its starters and allow others to get some meaningful snaps in the final three weeks of the season.

Yes, winning is important for Schottenheimer, but so too is getting valuable reps to players who otherwise wouldn't be getting a chance.

And based off Wednesday's report, some could be called into action on Sunday.
