The pair have put pen to paper on new deals, which shows how much the franchise values them.

The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up to face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night, but that doesn't mean contracts can't be done.

As a result, the franchise has locked up two up-and-coming stars: receiver Ryan Flournoy and tight end Brevyn Spann-Ford.

Flournoy, who was rewarded with a bump up the depth chart this season to WR3, signed a one-year deal worth up to $6 million.

As for Spann-Ford, who has usurped Luke Schoonmaker for the TE2 role, and signed a three-year, $18 million deal with $12.075 million guaranteed.

That is incredible, as Spann-Ford was a UDFA, and Flournoy was a sixth-round pick. Now they are part of the furniture under Brian Schottenheimer.

And the head coach couldn't be more happy with the pair as they signed their deals.

"So well deserved," Schottenheimer said. "You talk about two guys that literally carry the flag for what we're about. They came in without a lot of hoopla, and they've just grown into incredible players, great teammates.

"They play the game the right way, and I think it's an awesome acknowledgment that those two guys are what we're about. They're the epitome of what we're trying to build here from a toughness, play style, team-first mentality, and I couldn't be more excited for them."

With Flournoy emerging last season as a genuine weapon, Dallas was fine allowing Jalen Tolbert to leave, and now "Flo" is ready for another breakout season in 2026.

As for Spann-Ford, he has been a slow burn as a pass-catcher, but as a blocker, he has jumped ahead of Schoonmaker.

As training camp rolled on, it was evident that Spann-Ford's ability as a receiver had improved dramatically, and with his hulking 6-6, 265lb frame, he is a big target for Dak Prescott in the passing game.

With the injuries to Tyler Smith and Malik Davis, the Cowboys needed a little pick-me-up, and with Flournoy and Spann-Ford agreeing to new deals, that is exactly what has happened.

But the hard part has only just begun.

The pair has climbed the depth chart ladder and been rewarded with new contracts.

But now they've got to go out and prove they are worthy of them.
