The Dallas Cowboys' rivalry with the Philadelphia Eagles isn't for the faint-hearted, and with Brian Schottenheimer's team needing the Eagles to badly stumble down the stretch to win the NFC East, the Cowboys will be watching Week 15 intently.
Given that Philadelphia hosts the Las Vegas Raiders in the early window on Sunday and the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, you would expect that Cowboys Nation will be glued to the TV, praying for what would be an embarrassing slip-up from Jalen Hurts and Co.
Granted, I think the Eagles will win, but the NFL is a fickle beast, and you never know when it will throw up a surprise.
But will Dak Prescott find himself rooting against the Eagles on Sunday?
"I just got to go win every game, that's all I can control, going to root against them regardless,” a smiling Dak said. “So, whether we are in this position or not, I got to control what I can control and go win games on my end.”
Yeah, so Dak gets it on multiple levels, folks.
The rivalry is deep in Prescott's veins, but also, Dak knows that unless he and his team handle its business down the stretch, it won't matter how many times the Eagles stumble.
Winning the last four games is the only item on the menu for the Cowboys, because if that doesn't happen, everything else is moot.
So, the first point of order is to, as Dak says, control what I can control, and that means beating the Vikings.
With CeeDee Lamb clearing concussion protocol, Prescott will have his top weapon back, but could be without tight end Jake Ferguson, who was a DNP on Thursday with a calf injury.
Either way, we know Dak's feelings on the Eagles, regardless of how the season is panning out, and the fact that Dallas needs them to stumble.
He isn't a fan.
