Cowboys' George Pickens Promises To Put The 'League On Notice' In 2026

Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens has been the one, according to many, who has had the best camp this offseason.

For a player on the franchise tag, that is exactly what you want to see.

With Pickens making play after play in practice and then in both joint practices against the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints, No. 3 is ready to roll in 2026.

Of course, to outdo his 2025 efforts of 1,429 yards and 9 TDs from 93 receptions will take some doing, but Pickens has been locked in and focused since the first time he stepped foot on a practice field this offseason.

After a Pro Bowl year in 2025, and then tearing up training camp, does Pickens feel like he's about to put the entire league on notice in 2026?

"Yeah, I feel like for other teams, I think what it was when we played the Saints the other day, I kind of noticed that myself, just knowing that I'm getting way more double [teams]," Pickens said.

"Last year, I was getting a lot of double team, but now it's like first-play double [team]. Because they don't want to really take a chance. But definitely competing and putting the league on notice."

The fact that Pickens is already getting double-teamed, and in practice no less, is a surefire way to predict what will be coming his way in 2026.

But the good thing is that Dak Prescott still has a player, I'm not sure if you've heard of him, CeeDee Lamb, in his back pocket.

Plus, Jake Ferguson, Ryan Flournoy, and even KaVontae Turpin. So there are plenty of weapons that the Cowboys can hurt you with.

Still, even if Pickens is doubled, I'd imagine Dak will still fancy No. 3's chances of going up and making a play because that is the sort of demon George is on the field.

The league couldn't cope with Pickens last season, and now that he's got another full offseason of work in with Dak and the offense, he appears ready to take his game to the next level.

And that means putting the league on notice in 2026.
