The Cowboys' secondary appears to be set after an offseason of work, but the franchise has added another piece for Parker to utilize.
The Dallas Cowboys have overhauled the defense to give Christian Parker the best chance at making something of the 2026 season.
Last year, the Cowboys were woeful defensively, and now, with the handful of free agent signings, coupled with a draft that many feel the franchise hit out of the park, the good vibes are flowing at The Star.
But as we know, player acquisition is a 365-day-a-year proposition, and we have heard teams say they are always on the lookout for talent and players who can improve their rosters.
And the Cowboys have just done that.
On Thursday, Dallas made six roster moves. The Cowboys placed Matt Hennessy on IR and waived Corey Ballentine and Romello Brinson.

The Cowboys have signed cornerback Ameer Speed from the UFL team, the Houston Gamblers, who happens to be a former NFL sixth-round pick who is 6-3 and 215 and who at his Michigan State Pro Day once ran a 4.35 40.
They have also signed former Jets second-round receiver Denzel Mims, a 6-3 Baylor product who most recently played for the Dallas Renegades of the UFL.
Mims, now 28, is a player Dallas has flirted with acquiring for years.
So, the Cowboys have again gone to the lower leagues to look for talent, with Brandon Aubrey and KaVontae Turpin (both USFL) being two players plucked from a place where NFL teams are increasingly looking for talent.
For Speed, he isn't a stranger to the NFL, having played for the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, and the Chicago Bears, and last season, he was with the Houston Texans.
Speed has largely been a special-teams player in the NFL, with 280 of his 295 career snaps on those units.
Now, his signing means the Cowboys will have to figure out what sort of plan they have for him, as the secondary is rather crowded right now.
DaRon Bland, Caelen Carson, Devin Moore, Josh Butler, Cobie Durant, Shavon Revel Jr., Derion Kendrick, and Trikweze Bridges are likely all ahead of him.
Same goes for Mims, really, as the Cowboys receivers room seems loaded with CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens at the top and a bunch of guys vying for snaps.
