Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams has been a revelation this season as the lead back for Brian Schottenheimer's offense.
But that workload comes with a price.
Over the last few weeks, Williams has been dealing with a stinger in his shoulder and neck area.
Just nine and 13 carries for Javonte in his last two games are a sign that he is playing through the pain.
Against the Washington Commanders in Dallas' 30-23 win, Williams had all of his 13 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown in the first half.
He wasn't sighted in the second half.
So, now how is that troublesome shoulder feeling?
"It feel pretty good," Williams said. "I think just the stingers lingering, but I'll be all right."
With Williams on ice for the entire second half in Washington, others got a chance to showcase their stuff (Organic Tanking?).
Malik Davis rushed for 103 yards from his 20 carries, while Hunter Luepke also chipped in with 30 yards from seven carries.
In total, the Cowboys rushed for a season high 211 yards, and that was without Williams, who has 1,201 yards and 11 touchdowns, playing a role in the second half.

"It just shows it's a very competitive room," Williams added. "Whoever get in, make plays. We still competing at the end of the day, and no matter who go in, we got all trust in them."
With just one game left in the season, a trip to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants, given that Javonte is still dealing with that shoulder issue, we say 7-8-1 Dallas should shut him down.
Granted, the sitting starters talk has dominated the airwaves over the past two weeks, Malik and Hunter showing they can put in a good shift without Williams.
Javonte has been a workhorse this season. Time to give him a much-deserved rest. ... and then work on re-signing him for 2026.
