Cowboys Stud Lineman Offers Javonte Williams Contract Plea cover image

Williams is a free agent after a super 2025 season, and rookie Tyler Booker wants Javonte to stick around in 2026.

Dallas Cowboys running back Javonte Williams has had a superb bounce-back season in his first year with the franchise.

After many were skeptical of the Cowboys' pursuit of Williams, the former Denver Bronco made them all believers.

Williams finished the season with 1,201 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, easily both the highest of his career.

With Javonte behind a good offensive line, he gave the Cowboys something they had craved for years -- a good run game.

Granted, it wasn't outstanding, but it was good enough, and rookie stud Tyler Booker wants Williams, who is a free agent, to return in 2026.

"I would love to have 'Tay back," Booker said. "He's been a great teammate, somebody that I've really been able to learn from. I would love to have Tay back."

As always, it will come down to money.

We know the Cowboys don't usually like to splurge on running backs, but could they make an exception for Williams?

A deal of $6 million APY over two or three years. Is that something Dallas could stomach?

Either way, if the Cowboys don't re-sign Javonte, a host of teams will be interested in his services.

It feels like a no-brainer to bring Williams back. He has everything head coach Brian Schottenheimer is looking for in a player and as a person.

With another full offseason, and the offensive line set improve, Javonte might have an even better year in 2025.

Dallas has a handful of players futures it has to figure out, and Williams should be near the top of the priority list.
